ECS was formed in April 2008 by Graham Hawkes.
Graham left school and carried out an apprenticeship as a Gas Fitter with British Gas starting in 1975.
By 1988 he had explored all possibilities of enhancing his career within British Gas, and left to start his own Plumbing and Heating Company. Graham had always been interested in training, and in 1997 helped create Barnsley Industrial Training Centre, and eventually became Managing Director.
Whilst with BITC he was responsible for designing training courses for the Gas and Electrical Industries, and developed the very successfull 14 Week Course. Graham spent eleven years with BITC and later BEGAS, and saw over Eight Hundred Candidates successfully complete the 14 Week Course, and find jobs within the Gas Industry.
During 2007 he realised the potential for a training course which could be developed to suit people already working in the Gas Industry, who could not gain access to ACS, and therefore could not gain the relevant qualifications to work on Gas without supervision.
To assist these people, he has developed the Category 2 Course which is a prior learning course.
Graham decided at this point that he would like to become an independent training consultant and specialise in bringing new recruits into the Gas Industry, as well as making himself available to companies to design courses for their individual needs.
The latest Gas Training Course to be developed by Graham is the NE4 Course which is now available. |
